Project Overview
Our team was commissioned to replace and upgrade the flooring throughout multiple treatment rooms and ancillary areas within a busy healthcare facility. The project required the installation of high-performance safety flooring designed to withstand heavy foot traffic while meeting strict hygiene and infection control standards.
The works included 3 treatment rooms on the first floor, along with 2 other treatment rooms and the kitchenette and a small hallway on the ground floor.
The Challenge
Healthcare environments demand flooring that is durable, slip-resistant and easy to maintain without disrupting daily operations. The existing flooring had reached the end of its service life and required complete replacement while ensuring the new installation complied with clinical hygiene requirements.
Each area presented different subfloor conditions, requiring tailored preparation methods to achieve a long-lasting finish.
Our Solution
We carefully removed and disposed of the existing flooring before preparing each subfloor to the required specification.
First Floor
For Treatment Rooms 1, 2 and 3, the subfloors were strengthened with 4mm flooring-grade plywood before being smoothed with a protein-free levelling compound. This created a stable, even surface ready for installation.
Ground Floor
In Treatment Rooms 4 and 5, the kitchenette and hallway, the subfloors were primed before receiving a 2–3mm protein-free smoothing compound to provide a perfectly level base.
Installation
We supplied and installed Polysafe Wood FX slip-resistant safety flooring in Classic Oak 3107, providing the appearance of natural timber while delivering exceptional durability and safety.
To enhance infection control:
The Result
The completed installation delivered a modern, professional healthcare environment with improved safety, hygiene and durability. The wood-effect finish creates a warm, welcoming appearance without compromising the performance expected in a clinical setting.
By carefully preparing each subfloor and using premium safety flooring products, we provided a long-lasting flooring solution that is easy to maintain, highly slip-resistant and designed to perform in demanding healthcare environments.

Additional works were completed within the staff WC area to maintain a consistent finish throughout the premises.
Challenges & Considerations
During our site assessment, moisture concerns were identified around a fire door area. By identifying this early in the process, recommendations were made before installation commenced to help protect the longevity and performance of the finished floor.
Careful coordination was also required to ensure the installation was completed efficiently within operational requirements and with minimal disruption.
The Result
The completed installation delivered a durable and visually impressive flooring finish that enhanced the overall appearance of the Kutchenhaus showroom. The selected commercial LVT solution provides excellent wear resistance while creating a welcoming retail environment for customers and staff alike.

Project Overview
Our client wanted to refresh their interior with a durable, high-end flooring solution that combined visual impact with long-term performance. The existing wood plank vinyl had reached the end of its lifespan, and the brief was clear: create a beautifully finished floor with a classic design that would withstand heavy daily use.
The Challenge
The existing flooring needed full removal, and the subfloor required careful preparation to ensure a flawless finish. As with many renovation projects, the key to success lay beneath the surface — proper preparation was essential to achieve a long-lasting result.
Our Approach
1. Careful Removal & Site Clearance
We uplifted and removed the existing wood plank vinyl flooring and cleared all waste materials from site, leaving the space clean and ready for preparation.
2. Subfloor Preparation
The subfloor was primed using MSP primer to promote strong adhesion.
We then applied a 2–3mm protein-free smoothing compound to create a perfectly smooth surface for installation. While not a levelling compound, this process ensured an even, professional finish for the new flooring.
3. Installation of Premium LVT
We supplied and installed Roots 55 Heavy Contract wood plank LVT, chosen for its durability and realistic wood finish.
The tiles were laid and adhered using a high-temperature adhesive, ensuring stability and performance even in demanding conditions.
4. Finishing Touches
Aluminium thresholds were installed at the doorways where required, providing a clean, durable transition between spaces.
The Result
The transformation was immediate, adding elegance and character to the space, while the heavy contract LVT delivered both resilience and style.
The finished floor is:
Ham Polo Club approached us to upgrade the safety flooring in their kitchen, requiring the full replacement of the existing flooring, cove former, and capping strip.
Our team began by uplifting the old floor, priming the area with MSP primer, and applying a 2-3mm thick, protein-free, fibre-reinforced smoothing compound to create a stable base.
We supplied and installed new cove former before laying heavy-duty Altro Walkway flooring in the colour Temple; a durable, slip-resistant solution ideal for commercial flooring projects in high-traffic environments. The flooring was turned up the wall to a height of approximately 120mm to maintain a hygienic, easy-to-clean surface, and was finished neatly with a black capping strip.
Black diminishing strips were also installed on the ramp edges for a neat, professional finish. The project was completed efficiently, with minimal disruption to the club’s operations. The result is a robust, slip-resistant floor that looks fantastic and delivers long-lasting performance.
Our client is extremely satisfied.
Our client, Leonard Cheshire provide support to people with disabilities to live, learn and work as independently as they choose whatever their ability.
Our fitters uplifted existing sheet vinyl in hallway and LVT in the kitchen. All the old flooring was cleared from the premises. The sub-floor was primed using Ultrafloor Prime IT and prepared with Ultrafloor Level IT Two screed to give a smooth finish to lay the new flooring.
We supplied and installed Heavy Contract Polyfor Forest FX sheet vinyl in Rustic Oak, giving a practical yet stylish finish, with heat welded seams and wall sealing perimeters with clear sealant ensuring durability and safety.
A happy outcome for client and resident with a functional and welcoming space.
Our client, a restaurant in central London, needed the flooring renewed in their kitchen. In such a small kitchen, working around the oven, which could not be removed, proved challenging and required a lot of precision.
The existing flooring was a small area of ceramic tiles and safety flooring on the remaining area. This was uplifted and cleared from the premises. The subfloor was damp so required adequate time to dry before our fitters could return to continue the work.
The subfloor was then primed with Ultrafloor primer and prepared with Ultrafloor Pro 30 rapid set smoothing compound. This is a thorough and effective approach to ensuring a smooth, stable base for the new flooring.
The client was unable to remove the oven which made it more challenging in such a small space. We supplied and fitted Altro Walkway slip resistant safety flooring in colour Tarragon as chosen by the client. This flooring is an excellent choice for high traffic areas like kitchens, offering both safety and durability.
The vinyl was turned up the walls and finished with capping strip. Our fitters showed diligence when dealing with the various mitred corners due to the irregular shape of the room.
A challenging but successful project!
