Ham Polo Club approached us to upgrade the safety flooring in their kitchen, requiring the full replacement of the existing flooring, cove former, and capping strip.
Our team began by uplifting the old floor, priming the area with MSP primer, and applying a 2-3mm thick, protein-free, fibre-reinforced smoothing compound to create a stable base.
We supplied and installed new cove former before laying heavy-duty Altro Walkway flooring in the colour Temple; a durable, slip-resistant solution ideal for commercial flooring projects in high-traffic environments. The flooring was turned up the wall to a height of approximately 120mm to maintain a hygienic, easy-to-clean surface, and was finished neatly with a black capping strip.
Black diminishing strips were also installed on the ramp edges for a neat, professional finish. The project was completed efficiently, with minimal disruption to the club’s operations. The result is a robust, slip-resistant floor that looks fantastic and delivers long-lasting performance.
Our client is extremely satisfied.
Our client, Leonard Cheshire provide support to people with disabilities to live, learn and work as independently as they choose whatever their ability.
Our fitters uplifted existing sheet vinyl in hallway and LVT in the kitchen. All the old flooring was cleared from the premises. The sub-floor was primed using Ultrafloor Prime IT and prepared with Ultrafloor Level IT Two screed to give a smooth finish to lay the new flooring.
We supplied and installed Heavy Contract Polyfor Forest FX sheet vinyl in Rustic Oak, giving a practical yet stylish finish, with heat welded seams and wall sealing perimeters with clear sealant ensuring durability and safety.
A happy outcome for client and resident with a functional and welcoming space.
Our client, a restaurant in central London, needed the flooring renewed in their kitchen. In such a small kitchen, working around the oven, which could not be removed, proved challenging and required a lot of precision.
The existing flooring was a small area of ceramic tiles and safety flooring on the remaining area. This was uplifted and cleared from the premises. The subfloor was damp so required adequate time to dry before our fitters could return to continue the work.
The subfloor was then primed with Ultrafloor primer and prepared with Ultrafloor Pro 30 rapid set smoothing compound. This is a thorough and effective approach to ensuring a smooth, stable base for the new flooring.
The client was unable to remove the oven which made it more challenging in such a small space. We supplied and fitted Altro Walkway slip resistant safety flooring in colour Tarragon as chosen by the client. This flooring is an excellent choice for high traffic areas like kitchens, offering both safety and durability.
The vinyl was turned up the walls and finished with capping strip. Our fitters showed diligence when dealing with the various mitred corners due to the irregular shape of the room.
A challenging but successful project!
